Fast lightweight PHP editor/IDE

Hi everyone!

Can anyone recommend a fast and lightweight php editor for XFCE?

I've only used Kate and KDevelop when I was using KDE and Fluxbox, but now I need something for XFCE and I don't really want to use KDE software.

I've read that gvim highlights php, but I didn't manage to make gvim do it =\

Cheers

I use vim and the syntax highlighting works just fine with php.. just looked at gvim and it works fine too.

Do you have syntax highlighting turned on? can be done from the "syntax" menu in gvim or with
Code:
syntax on
in your ~/.vimrc

Agreed! Geany, just works. even on Windows.

Second choice? Code::Blocks, it's pretty heavy but the WxSmith plugin is nice for platforms where WxFormBuilder doesn't run
