This is one of the many reasons I enjoy this community. Getting to know different perspectives from all over the world.

For the record, I can always talk about the weather.

The last word about place/role of women here - and I owe something to someone - well my nick name encodes name of my daughter - 'Iga' - 'Iga daughter' - polish phonetic transcription creates 'igadoter' - so you see how much are women important in Poland. This why women movement are senseless here.

Heh. Not very much. We should get back on topic. I wish the OP all the best using their new distro.

Me too. I don't think I would have found slackware such a good fit if I hadn't already had quite a lot of experience with crux. However if the mailing list is dead, as someone posted above, it suggests to me that the distro itself may be dying.

@hazel and hitest -- same goes for at least some of your own posts to this thread. What have they got to do with Slackware?

Haha! Pot-----> Kettle.
Point well taken.
I hope that the OP finds satisfaction on their journey.

So, after 15 plus years of using Slackware (and advocating for it quite a lot) I am about to stop using it.

Don't try to persuade me otherwise - it's no good!

I will stop using Slackware right away

And go to bed. Now.

Hopefully one day I'll wake up to 15.0 and start migrating

Naw. Minnesotan goodbye. (I kid. I was born there and still have a lot of relatives there.)
