/etc/rc.d/rc.S: line 209: /dev/null: Permission Denied

Hi!,
Today, booting my Slackware box I received the following message serveral times during booting:

/etc/rc.d/rc.S: line 209: /dev/null: Permission Denied

I can't boot the box now, any thougts about this?
The only different thing I did was to install the Kernel 2.6.x from the second slackware installation disk.
any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance,
regards,
-eduardo s.m.

already solved it.
Got it from the knoppix wiki[1]
Just had to add "dev" to the options of the root
partition in the /etc/fstab file:

/dev/hda4 / reiserfs defaults,owner,dev 1 1

now is working without problem...
