error while loading shared libraries

Somehow, when I try to open some application I get the following message. For example:

Quote:
juk: error while loading shared libraries: libqtmcop.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Quote:
vlc: error while loading shared libraries: libdvbpsi.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
What I remember doing was installing and then unistalling wxGTK but when I installed it again the again they didn't work

For JuK, i guess it's included in Qt packages, since JuK is KDE apps and it will require Qt as the base packages

What is your KDE version? KDE 3.5 and above will require Qt-3.3.5 i guess

libqtmcop.so is in arts package so check if it's installed.
Similarly I guess libdvbpsi.so should be in libdvbpsi package from VideoLAN project - it's not a standard Slackware package. It should be installed too if missing.

I have installed libart_lgpl-2.3.17. But as willsyr said it seems that it needs Qt packages but I already have them installed.

Well, I tried unistalling Qt 3.3.4 and installing 3.3.5 but then most of KDE components, like KPackage, KDiskFree etc, didn't worked. Then I installed again Qt 3.3.4 but KDE couldn't even load. Finally, I reinstalled KDE 3.3.4, with Qt 3.3.4, from Slackware CD and now KDE components are working but unfortunately Juk and other applications still not work.

have you ever considered upgrading to KDE 3.5.1?
I use this version and JuK is working fine (i have never tried Juk before, since Amarok does it for me, and when i upgraded to KDE 3.5.1, it was broken, so i switched to JuK)

Juk used to work until today but then, as I said something, happened with wxGTK and stopped working and even when I reinstalled KDE didn't worked out.

as far as i know, WxGTK doesn't have any impact to KDE's library (Qt), since it was a separate library

I re-installed Qt-3.3.4 both as a package from KDE as also by performing the setup from Slackware's installation CD. Unfortunately it didn't work. Could someone givem his shared libraries for copying them to my system? I have no idea what their size can be so... Thanks in advance!

That's arts which is in the slackware/l directory on your CD or Slackware mirror. Not libart_lgpl.

Generally, you shall grep the MANIFEST files to find out which package a specific file belongs to.
