The configure options are really just common flags, there really isn't anything special in the build except for --disable-gconf. I honestly don't know why your build was failing. I googled around and could find any useful info on that error.

I've been playing around with it on a different computer, I got the KDE error when trying to building Compiz 0.8.4 (and I have yet to figure out how to update KDE to 4.3.5 using slackware packages / slackbuilds, everything I take off the internet from work to home), so I changed the slackbuilds (from Daedra, thanks for those, they've been handy) to using Compiz 0.8.2 (by changing version numbers in the files). They all worked except the compizconfig-backend-kconfig, which exited with the following error:

Code:

CMake Error: The source directory "/tmp/SBo/compizconfig-backend-kconfig-0.8.2" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt
I'm not quite sure what to make of this error, if you have another correction I can apply to the slackbuild or an alternate slackbuild for the 0.8.2 version of this package I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

it's cmake error, it can't find config file needed for configuring and building. whether it does not use cmake or tarball is wrongly packed.

I discovered the problem... I only changed the compiz 0.8.4 slackbuilds to use compiz 0.8.2 source, but the 0.8.4 kconfig source uses cmake whereas 0.8.2 doesn't... now I'm off to find a 0.8.2 slackbuild for the 0.8.2 kconfig source
