envy24control for slackware

I need a mixer app called envy24control. Nobody seems to have a Slackware package for it, which would not be a big deal except that I cannot find the source code either! Does anyone know where I can find this thing?

It's part of alsa-tools. You need to recompile it.

Actually, alsa-tools does not seem to be a part of the standard slackware install so you don't need to mess with Slackware core packages.

I'm very surprised that nobody has an alsa-tools package. Guess I'll have to make one.

That's what I'm saying... it's better as you don't have to interfere with Slackware stock packages

Okay, I can see why nobody's done a package. You don't just compile and install the whole thing; you have to compile the stuff for each specific card.

or you could switch to ossv4, envy24 is a supported card. ossv4 slackbuild is available from SBo.
