enlightenment -- installed.. but how do i enable it?
ok.. i'm from slackware 8.0 where we got Enlighenment from the menu.. and i loved it...
now i have slack 10 and it wasn't there.. so i ./configure 'd it make 'd it and make installed 'd it.. but its not in xwmconfig... how do i get enlightenment to run for my window manager? thx.. sg |
copy /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc to ~/.xinitrc then edit the file to launch enlightenment instead of your current window manager.
You could also get this package/s: http://www.linuxpackages.net/search_...light&ver=10.0 The Enlightenment package there includes a sample xinitrc to launch it, you could download it and take a look (without installing it). |
thanks.. that did it...
i edited my .xinitrc to have the following line: exec /usr/local/enlightenment/bin/enlightenment and it works great! |
