Emacs default browser

Greetings all.

I'm using emacs on Slack 11 to write & edit html & css styles. When executing the View Buffer Contents command (C-c C-v), I'm met with the following response: "Searching for program: no such file or directory, netscape" As Netscape is not installed on my computer, nor do I wish to install it, my question is, how does one change the emacs default browser specification from Netscape to Firefox?

TIA.

I found this gem:

http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/BrowseUrl

In Firefox 1.5, the easiest way is probably to open “Preferences → Tabs” in Firefox and select the “A tab in the most recent window” option for the “Open links from other applications” preference, and then do the following in .emacs

(setq browse-url-generic-program (executable-find "firefox")
browse-url-browser-function 'browse-url-generic)

And here's an example .emacs using firefox:

Hope this helps.
