elan / synaptics touchpad fix

Hello World:

I run slackware64-14.2 and slackware64-current on a lenovo ideapad 310, with everything standard slackware, except for custom kernels (at this time, kernel 4.20).

A couple of times, my touchpad's pointer froze, even across reboots, in both stable, and current.

The first occasion was resolved when I plugged in a usb mouse: the touchpad's pointer started working too.

However, I didn't have an extra mouse today, so on further research, I found a gentoo thread that had a solution which worked for me:

I had to append "i8042.nomux=1 i8042.reset" to kernel command line.

Now my touchpad works again!
