eject errors

Hi all, my eject hasnt been working for a while now, i get
Code:
eject: unable to eject, last error: Invalid argument
In the logs it says
Code:
program eject is using a deprecated SCSI ioctl, please convert it to SG_IO
Ive looked around quite a bit but cant find a solution to this

Any help very much appreciated.

If it used to work and doesn't now, it may be due to a broken dependency or config change after an upgrade. It could be your binutils package needs to be upgraded, or, if you upgraded your kernel version did you change to using SCSI emulation (were you using ATAPI previously)?

On my system, eject was installed from the bin-10.2-i486-1 package. I'm running a 2.6.16 series kernel and not using SCSI emulation (my DVD drive is /dev/hdc and my CD drive is /dev/hdd).

I _think_ i fixed it by uninstalling xcdroast. Things seem fine now, i hope they stay that way.
