Eclipse install failed - slackware 14

Hi,

I am trying to install Eclipse in Slackware-14 through sbopkg.

I am getting the following error,
Code:
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at WebCore/dom/make_names.pl line 38.
make: *** [DerivedSources/WebCore/HTMLElementFactory.cpp] Error 2
and found the reason at, http://bugs.lunar-linux.org/view.php?id=485

How do I use the solution in Slackware to install Eclipse?

I guess you can build eclipse without webkitgtk. As a consequence, you will not be able to use integrated browser, and eclipse should automatically use the system browser or the browser defined in Windows->Preferences->General->Web Browser

If your error building webkitgtk is related to the lack of Switch.pm (like in the bugreport you point to), if you're using a slackware full install it shouldn't
Code:
# grep Switch\.pm$ /var/log/packages/perl-*
/var/log/packages/perl-5.16.1-x86_64-1:usr/share/perl5/CGI/Switch.pm

there is nothing to install for eclipse,

download, unpack, run it, that's it.
do it as user, than you have no problems installing plugins or running the eclipse update
in fact, at least for me, it is not a good idea to install eclipse as root.
