Smileys noted, but you two both have good points. I've got probably another fifteen years of life expectancy if I'm lucky, and I'm not going to waste it on stuff that can be done quicker and more accurately by a very small shell script. However, it's people doing it manually like you folk (and me, before I got lazy) that keep the layered tools lean and mean. Ubuntualisation happens when the layered tools become the new baseline that grows layered tools that become the new baseline. So I'm deeply thankful that neither of you are lazy like me
Anyway, sorry about the thread drift. Like everybody else I use Alien Bob's vlc. It's fab.
