I burned today a Slackware 13.0 x86 (32 bit) DVD iso with nero image burner at 16x ( max speed for a HP DVD blank ) And when i boot up the setup, I press enter, it loads the kernel but the next thing it fails. Should i try another DVD or another speed? Any tips for DVD`s or speed to write?
maybe that my post does not match into this thread.
I think that generally it is easier not to download a DVD-image and burn it but to download all the stuff and chose a harddrivepartition as the installation-sources. I often install Slackware this way and for the installation-CD I use a selfmade iso without any packages.
