DVD Rom setup
Hello, I am using slack 9.1 and last time I went to boot up my computer it locked up on bootup and spit out a bunch of 99's all over the screen. Even my bootdisk wouldnt work. So I just reistalled and hoped for the best. Any Ideas what could have caused this to happen?
And now to my current problem. The system is not reading my dvd-rom. I changed my fstab but now I get the error "special device /dev/cdrom2 does not exsist. So my question is how would I go about creating it? fstab -- /dev/hda1 swap swap defaults 0 0 /dev/hda2 / ext3 defaults 1 1 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,ro 0 0 /dev/cdrom2 /mnt/cdrom2 iso9660 noauto,user,ro 0 0 /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 thanks for your time, eats |
Ok well I got my dvd working myself.
