DVD problems with Mplayer
Before moving onto SL13.37 I want to solve this problem.
I am using SL13.1. I realise that the distribution version of Mplayer has restrictions, so I installed alienbobs build of Mplayer and libdvdcss.
First I compiled them myself - no good. Then I installed the binaries - no good.
I am reading the VIDEO_TS from disk, but the error also occurs with a mounted iso file. The error that Mplayer brings is the following:
Quote:

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: decode_video
ID_SIGNAL=11
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.

Please note: this plays on SL12.1 perfectly fine.
I have a full install, except for KDE and gxine, plus MPlayer-20100926-i486-1alien and libdvdcss-1.2.10-i486-2alien.
I can post a list of the other packages installed, but as far as I can see, they are not related to DVDs.
