Dumping email to console

I may just be missing something in the man pages, but I'm stumped. All I want to do is dump a specific email message to the console. I know I could just grab the text from /var/mail, but that file is a concatentation of all email in an inbox and I'd like to not have to parse that. Nail does half of what I want in that it will list out the email headers to console and then exit. However, for the life of me, I can' t figure out how to do the same thing with a specific message. I've also read through the pine man pages and that doesn't seem to do this either.

Any hints?
