Run 'liloconfig' then give it the information it needs to find both OS on your system. When finished configuring, install it to the MBR. If you are sill having problems with this, post back and I will give you the code to put in your /etc/lilo.conf then you can install lilo by simply running, 'lilo'.

drkstr,
i am on another computer, 'cause i don't have internet, but the first ? i have is, which drive first, xp slave or linux slave?
i have seen first hand that xp likes to be the master, because it askes if you want to install it's "boot loader" (is you wanna call it that) on the primary disk if your installing to a slave. however linux will install and boot from both slave and master. so which drive first?

I think you should keep Windos on primary master and linux wherever you wish. First install Windows, then install linux and lilo.

That would be the easiest way, but there are ways around this if for some reason it is not possible to do it as nykey suggested.
