I will be switching over to Slackware 9.1 in the near future and I am really impressed with how Dropline looks. My question is this: Should I not install GNOME and the other included packages off the CDs when I install Slackware in the first place, or does Dropline update the programs even if I have already installed them?
It does update them (and scrambles your system up in general and uninstalls quite few things as well as adding a truckload), so I assume either way would work. But don't do it! Fluxbox, fluxbox.
i just installed dropline on slack 9.1 with kde and gnome already installed and everything went fine. rebooted and the new dropline gdm came up which is very nice and comes with a few new screens. logged in and gnome came right up. looks good - works good.
thinking of making it my default all the time. still partial to kde, there is one screensaver that i love (euphoria) that doesnt load up on gnome. anyone know how to get a screensaver that was made for kde to run on gnome?
