Yeah sorry ponce I probably should have mentioned that. It is important since I am not running systemd, gdm or pam. This shouldn't stop the menu from appearing though and if I can get it to appear I can go from there as to how to get the system to suspend (ie via pm-utils).
Saxa I found that running sound-juicer with: dbus-launch sound-juicer launched ok. Not sure why since I have a dbus session running already and nothing else complains. I recompiled from latest git source and still the same story there. Perhaps this will help you troubleshoot.

Ok, today we have some new updates. Those are simple package updates which should fix some of the things , but some of problems you have reported in here are still to be solved. We called this RC1 , so please go ahead and update to the latest available packages.
Report any issues.

Just for closing this thread, we released today dropline gnome 3.8 for slackware 14.0. More details on www.droplinegnome.org , and many thanks to all of you who helped with it in here. Enjoy.

Ok peeps, I just pushed up some updated packages for dropline gnome 3.8 re-run dropline-installer and get updated. Meanwhile I will shortly start helping on the 3.10 for slackware 14.1. We already have some packages from Eugene and Bart. Stay tuned in the new thread about those news.
