Thanks for the headsup gmgf, but it seems that this patch is quite debian specific, so we would need to modify it to be more slackware friendly. In any case its better if you tell us which programs do not work for you ?

Good..., i think a good idea it's added a 'cups-pk-helper' package in your dropline project
because it's needed for the gnome-control-center printer setup.

http://www.freedesktop.org/software/...lper/releases/

maybe, another good idea it's compile libsoup, with 'glib-networking'

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sourc...tworking/2.34/

Hi gmgf,

we will consider adding cups-pk-helper

libsoup is compiled with glib-networking
checking for glib-networking (glib TLS implementation)... yes

package gdm probably, need enhancement:

the /etc/passwd file in slackware

contain this

gdm:x:42:42:GDM:/var/stat/gdm:/bin/bash (this is for old gdm before version 3)

it need probably changed by

gdm:x:42:42:GDM:/var/lib/gdm:/bin/bash (this is for gdm version 3)

because the new gdm work directory is /var/lib/gdm

this new directory is already your package.

the gdmsetup file in your package are probably obsolet

because i think gdm-setup, is not present in gdm version3
