dropline desktop icons have arrows or cross

Hello there,

I just succeeded in installing dropline gnome (which btw rocks!!), but I have a quesstion concerning the desktop icons.

When I go into the gnome application menu and choose (for example firefox) and choose in the menu "copy launcher to dekstop" (or similar, I don't remember by heart), the icon on the desktop has a yellow cross in one of its corner. Some launchers get a green arrow on one of their corners.

- What is the meaning of it? (I've been using slackware for a few years already, but never with gnome)
- How can these arrows and crosses be removed and just have the icons on the desktop?

Thanks for your answers.
Greetings to you all.
