I did so. The computer gave me the following mistake (both root and normal user)
Starting Dropbox...Dropbox isn't running!
Done!
bash-4.2# Couldn't start Dropbox.
This is usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error.

Please contact Dropbox support with the following info for help:

/tmp/dropbox_errorGoStd5.txt

I also created the folder Dropbox manually, but nothing changed.

It looks like everything is operating now.
The key point was the following: my computer is quite old and not fast at all, so after getting the error message I aborted the processes, because nothing happened for 10 minutes.
This time I forget about it and after long time the daemon downloaded and everything started.
