drives


i can't get access to my winows partitions with a normal user. i have tried to change the permissions in kde by choosing propertis on the dir where i have mounted the drive but it doesn't work, it changes back to the preiviosly config every time!

please help

this has been asked an awful lot, i'd suggest making better use of the search facilities on LQ.

either way, open /etc/fstab, and edit the options for the windows drive to add umask=000 to let everyone write to it.
