Drivers Canon Pixima IP1500

Hello All,

I have managed to install my Canon Pixima IP1500 on KDE / CUPS, but CUPS doesn't provide the appropriate drivers, all of the drivers are for the BJC and ImageRunner series.

At Canon support site they don't provide drivers for Linux, only for OSX and Windows.

Would the OSX drivers work? Is unix at the end isn't it?

Is there an "equivalent" driver that I can use, or where can I download the correct driver?

Thanks,

Edgar

I think you probably have to use TurboPrint. I haven't tried it myself, but I might do (and I have the same printer).

Turbo Print works well with this printer, too bad it costs $$$.
Although its a fairly good package and well worth the cost for a professional however paying what is probally more than the cost of the printer itself just for the drivers for home use and not requireing any of the advanced image stuff that turbo print uses is a bit much.

EDIT: just found this post, seems cannon have offical drivers: http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/in...howtopic=22863
