Another thing you could do is to help test out 2.6.0-test2. This will be the next stable generation of the kernel.

And I do recall that you've mentioned you're pretty good in programming... maybe you can contribute something here?

You can view changelogs as well as download the kernel here.

its a great way to pass some time (or LOTS of time if you easily lose track of it like myself) and it will teach you *plenty* about everyone's favorite OS.

My C programming experience is almost all in C++, and the kernel is in C, which I am OK at, but not nearly as good as I am in C++. I've only gotten really serious about Linux since last summer or so, so there is still a lot I need to know about the low-level stuff before I would be able to contribute anything. It IS something I would be interested in doing eventually though. Right now, however, I am more concerned about getting a job, I graduated last December and have yet to get anything, just several interviews that didn't pan out.

BTW thanks for the links jpbarto, I'll give them a look tomorrow on my day off.
