Dovecot SSL cert question

Hey all, I have been working on setting up Postfix, Dovecot, and Fetchmail over the last few days. Last night I wanted to incorporate TLS/SSL into the above servers. So I created certs for postfix and they now live in /etc/postfix.

So would it be possible to use the same .pem fies that I created for postfix for Dovecot?

Thanks

I would guess that, yes, you can use the one cert for both.
Make sure that both programs can read that certificate and that they are not world-readable (that is, if you're enabling SSL with safety in mind, you should also protect your certificates from prying eyes).
It is however quite easy to create another PEM file dedicated to Dovecot.

Eric
