Post DosBox not run on Slack64 14.1

I use standart slackware64 14.1

Linux drago 3.10.17 #2 SMP Wed Oct 23 16:34:38 CDT 2013 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

Video is Nvidia GT630 with nvidia 331.38 drivers.

try to run programm from root account:

when run that command ( dosbox) there open big, all-black screen with

i can change bit videoresolution values from start there, but in not changes anything.
i have 1680x1050 lcd, if it is important.

run "dosbox" without any parameters do the same result...

DOSbox runs fine here on Slackware64-current (laptop, Intel graphics) when run in X windows and not as root. Never tried it outside of X in a console, or as root.

As an alternative, you could try using RetroArch with the DosBox core. That will have the advantage of supporting GPU shaders, which look a *lot* better than the CPU-based scalers that ship with DosBox.

And if you're playing a game that has MT-32 support (and that isn't supported by ScummVM), then I'd recommend building Munt first, patching DosBox (0.74 or SVN) with the DosBox patch in the Munt source archive, and then doing a Munt-enabled DosBox build.

And in any case, I haven't tried DosBox (any variation or build) as root or outside of X either.

Ok, thanks for suggestions.
i do not try to resolve problem with my desktop computer with slack64, because wife send me away from desktop to make her things in internet, as so i take my netbook - eeepc 900 from asus - there i have slackware 14.1 32bit version.
download again those two packages from AlienBob repository, install, and it works - i can run PB.EXE ( powerbasic) - but there i get another problems - backspace work not as backspace, as so as another keyboard keys.
at that moment i think to try run powerbasic throught wine - run it, and throught wine it opens in some GUI "dosbox" windowed version, and there all works ok, including keyboard.
