I was trying to work out how long I have been a Slackware user. I remember the big version jump from 4 to 7, so that must date it somewhat. Slackware has been my distro of choice ever since the first night I installed it. I also have a 'Get Serious' t-shirt which I never wear. So I owe you, Pat. Donation on it's way.
Greetings Patrick. Time goes by all too quickly. I thought I was a faithful supporter but not only has it been since v13.37 (OMG! has it really been 7 years?!?) but it now seems you are still waiting for your cut on those purchases... positively shameful and pathetic. I very much want to reward you for all your hard work at creating and updating Slackware without falling prey to the herd (or the hurd?) mentality but I cancelled my PayPal account several months ago. I do business with a few companies that have PayPal but also a button for those of us that don't have nor want PayPal yet the transaction is still somehow hosted by PayPal. Is it possible you could add this feature so I, and anyone else so inclined, can still provide you with richly deserved funding?
Well, this sucks. Hopefully the community will "do a Krita" and come up with more than the required amount ASAP. I skipped a few pages, so I may have missed it, but have you set a figure? I would say you should make this the top post at slackware.com, with a link to your Paypal. Sorry I can't offer any practical advice, but I've never run a business and am not in the US even if I had.
I sent you the price of a Slackware hat (of course, I don't expect one in return, unless and until you're solvent at minimum). Paypal is currently reviewing my payment so hopefully you will get it sooner rather than later. I couldn't figure out how to make a recurring payment to Paypal.Me, so if I have missed something let me know, otherwise I will do my best to remember to make this a regular event.
Oh, and I'd rather KDE was kept around, but if it was spun off like GNOME was a few years ago, and was still easily accessible, that would be fine, if it helped simplify a release of Slackware.
Great work, Patrick. All the best.

upnort: it may be worth linking to the post where PV gives his PP in your OP, just to make it more official.
I am sure he would appreciate GiftCards, Visa, Mastercard etc... Or a money order etc...

Usually, that happens when PayPal just processes the credit card, acts as a merchant solution. Its not difficult to setup.

The PayPal.me FAQ states that you need a PayPal account in order to donate money through a paypal.me URL.
On the other hand, when you create a regular PayPal donation link, the donator kan select payment through credit card as far as I recall.

You are correct Eric. I have never setup paypal.me, and didn't realize it was different from a regular paypal account.
Went looking on the US sites like the SCC who owns it, trying to confirm it still belongs tp PV.
Not being used to the US ways, couldn't find it.
Can anyone who knows where to look in the US check it out?

Now I'm glad that I never got the chance to buy something at the Slackware store.
I don't have a credit card (national or international). Well, until now.
I created an account at PayPal but couldn't send anything overseas.
Searching how I could do it, I found that PayPal has some type of a virtual credit card.
I setup a credit card, skeptically that of course it wouldn't work
Well it "seems" that it worked.
I finally could transfer $48 to the https://www.paypal.me/volkerdi and it worked at my side.
