Unfortunately this is a very bad situation for Pat and the rest of the community. I know all so well how the more you contribute the more you get taken advantage of. I wish there was something I could do at the current moment to show some gratitude, but I'm broke myself and trying to find employment. If there ever was a developer/contributor that deserved a donation it definitely would be Patrick Volkerding. Without what Pat has done for not only the Slackware community but the Linux community as a whole, we'd be stuck in the past, or maybe never even have existed!

Please if you have any interest in the Open Source and Linux world at all and you can show some gratitude, help Patrick out. He deserves much more than all of us combined could ever give.
