Dolphin keeps freezing with KDE 4.2.3+
 

I've been ignoring this problem for about a week but its getting on my last nerve. Dolphin keeps freezing for about 20 seconds when ever I try to move or open files sometimes, It will just sit there and then once it returns it will very quickly execute my command. I still can't seem to find a fix. Can anyone else confirm this?

I'm running the most recent current BTW

Try disabling "Use thumbnails embedded in files". I had lots of slowdowns selecting PDFs until I did that.

You could try removing and see if that helps.

So far this is working, you might have nailed it.

I had this problem also on 4.2.X but when I upgraded to current 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 4.3.4 -- all was fixed. FYI.

yeah that was a typo. I am running 4.3.4

well looks like I spoke to soon.. sigh

It's still doing it, I'm going to test my external harddrive, maybe thats the culprit.

I got it. It was the preview bar causing the problem. I just closed it and now its all good.
