Dolphin hang and crash on KDE 4.5.1 (Slackware64-current)

Hello fellow Slacker, is there any Slackware-current or Slackware64-current users in the LQ Slackware forum experiencing lags or slowdown on Dolphin file manager on KDE 4.5.1? I experienced this first on KDE 4.5.0, after the current update KDE to 4.5.1 I still have this problem.

Hovering mouse on a file can take a while, opening a text file with kwrite took several seconds and dolphin window will appear blank (like hang). Sometimes Dolphin crashed when opening file, changing directory or hovering mouse on a file.

Quick googling points to this discussion at http://dot.kde.org/2010/08/31/kde-releases-451 which suggest a bug in libdbus.

Please share your experience here.

As has already written Sahko, the problem is DBus 1.2.x; you need DBus >= 1.3.1.
I upgraded to DBus 1.3.1 and the problem disappeared on KDE 4.5.0 and 4.5.1.

You can create the package reusing the Pat's SlackBuild.

Then:

telinit 1
upgradepkg --reinstall --install-new dbus-1.3.1-i486-2
reboot

telinit 1 is essential because you must stop dbus and all programs that use it

Thanks, x-alien. I just built the package using a modified slackbuild from my own mirror of -current. So far, so good!
Thanks to sahko as well.

Thank you all for your reply, I'll try rebuilding DBus today. Will mark this thread as solved.

Just built and installed dbus-1.3.1 and this Dolphin frustration seems to finally be fixed!
Thanks sahko and x-alien for the solution as well as thanks to ack_iix for the original post.

FYI, dbus 1.4.0 (the even stable branch) seems to be already released (but not yet announced on the freedesktop wiki).
