Doing away with Windows and dual boot
I've finally decieded to turn my dual boot (win xp and slack 11) to a single boot linux box. I'm posting this to ask for the best way to handle this. When I first built the computer it was just a win xp box, but since I added a second hard drive that has been dedicated to Linux. Lilo is set to the MBR on hda (windows drive). I've had to spend some time fixing drivers in Linux for things like my wireless network usb card so I'd rather not just start from scratch.
I assume I should boot to Linux edit the fstab and remove my windows partition and then cfdisk the windows drive. Next would be to format (mkfs) and add to the fstab the new partitions.
What should be done next? or is there a better way to do this?
How do I remove Lilo and have it boot straight to Linux?
