Does -current include latest KDE security patches ??
there are some security patches for KDE that is in -current and for KDE in slackware 10.1.
The packages in -current are patched ?? i see nothing about it in logs or at "slack 10.1 patch folder" on the site :) |
With only a short delay, usually, yes.
If you are impatient: I suppose there are Slackware packages available directly from the KDE web pages. I guess so, as they even offer a live CD, Klax, which is similar to Slax, which is based on Slackware, in turn. gargamel |
There are loads of fixes in 3.4.1, the 3.4.0 kuser crash on creating a new user is driving me nuts. Sometimes kuser also seems to shuffle group memberships.

I am not sure that the KDE packages in Slackware-current will be patched. More likely they will be replaced by KDE 3.4.1 packages, soon.
Whenever possible/available I choose Pat's packages, too, but in the case of KDE there are 'official' Slackware packages from the KDE project, and I'd not be surprised if Pat would just use them. I haven't checked that, though. gargamel |
