Excellent.

I made a couple of svg orb icons if you want to add them. And I put in a sort of "parody" wallpaper, take it or leave that one.

I didn't "actually" make any of them, but used a online converter to make the svg's.

I surfed the net looking for Slackware images/wallpapers. My collection is quite large and that is what I use. Some of the sbo wallpapers are in my collection but only a few of them

I downloaded the tarball. A lot has been added since the last time I saw this or I am thinking of another. Lots of nice stiff in there and I have used some of them in the past. Using one image now for my KDE Application Icon. Keep the ugly ones around, ugly is in the eye of the beholder.

this is extreme useful.
I do usually not build the package, but through this package I know where to find the tarball
and selecting a wallpaper for a new installation is one of the most important setup steps.

and of course, it could need more, Slackware related, wallpaters

Does not work for me.

Does not work with xfce, when i try to change wallpaper, the <system files,/usr/share/backgrounds/xfce is grayed out, seems to work in KDE but old Pentium system here, i will keep digging, did not know about this app though, thank you!

slack-wallpapers is not an application.

You should be able to see the images in Xfce right away when you go to Desktop settings > Background. The images are placed in /usr/share/wallpapers and the SlackBuild script creates symlinks to /usr/share/backgrounds/xfce and /usr/share/backgrounds/mate/ (in case you are using MATE).

after some discussion, I gave up maintenance of slack-wallpapers and its SlackBuild to Skaendo. Thanks to all for the feedback. I therefore mark the thread as 'solved'.

Thanks solarfields for maintaining the slack-wallpaper over the years, even though I didn't know about it until recently. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to maintain it now.

Everyone else:
There has been an final update by solarfields where he has told me that he removed 10 low-quality images, and added 13 new ones. I have submitted it to SBo and it should be available with the next public update.

If you want to submit a new image, you can PM me here on LQ, contact me via email (in the .info), or via my blog (also in the .info). Please keep in mind that they should be Slackware related and for consistency, please name the file with this format: slack-$SHORTNAME-$RESOLUTION. Author, download info and license information is also helpful.
