dlink DFE-530TX+ install need help

Hello everyone.
I just installed samba 3.o.22 on my slack 2.6.13.
My problem is that my dlink (which I just hooked up) cannot be detected.I thought that dlink is compatible with linux and it the driver comes with the kernel but maybe Im wrong.
I do ifconfig and the only thing I see is ra0 which a linksys wireless card.Can anyone please help me to get this thing up and running?

the rtl8139 or 8139too will run the DFE530TX+

try /sbin/modprobe 8139too

I got this error.
Any clues?

ya got me, i never had an error with my eth0 card, that is the exact same model Dlink i have too...
