Displaying to a remote computer

Is there a way of displaying to a remote computer even before the bootup process (as in, I could see lilo on a remote computer)? I know that it is possible to set the DISPLAY variable once I've logged on, and I'm sure I could set it in one of the rc.*'s, but even before that? Of course, I think that method is more for x-apps anyway; The reason I ask is I want to do a slackware install on an old machine I just got, but I don't have a monitor (just my laptop and the network). Any ideas? Thanks.

Sorry for the lemon, the answer is NO.
Since you only have a laptop not even
a KVM switch can help.

Cheers,

Heh, thanks - guess I'll have to find a monitor.
