Display Settings not Saving

I'm new to slackware (and linux) and recently installed a copy of this distro on my PC.

Whenever I change my Display settings in KDE (Screen resolution, Wallpaper, etc.) and restart the PC, these settings are not saved. When linux starts up again, the old/default settings are re-applied.

I changed the settings from the KDE Gui settings dialog. Is there something else that i need to do after this.

Check to see whether you have sessions enabled. If yes, then configure to always start with a new session and restart KDE.

System Settings -> Startup and Shutdown -> Session Management
