I've noticed an odd behavior while using Aterm with Enlightenment. When I have an Aterm terminal open and click back-and-forth between other windows, when I click on the Aterm window the text goes blank; disappears entirely. If I move the Aterm scrollbar or shade and unshade the window, the text reappears. At first I thought this might be a window-transparency issue but the problem occurs with a solid background as well.
Has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions?
This doesn't happen with Fluxbox, just Enlightenment.
I would suggest you to use Eterm (which is Enlightenment's terminal and supports transparencies like Aterm) if you can't find a solution to this problem.
I had some problems with aterm with enlightenment
Using transparent background, aterm took ages to update it when resizing the window. I switched to wterm and now everything works fine.
Along these lines....Could anyone please help me with an issue close to this one. When I open the Applications menu bar, and select a sub-menu, some sub-menus don't show up until I highlight over the options. And then when I open a window, the buttons, text and tabs have to be highlighted in the same manner. Both times, it just shows the background until the objects are highlighted. I'm using a newly installed, desktop installation of Fedora 3. Any help would be greatly appreciated..... Sorry, didn't realize this was Slackware....
