Did you make that up? If so, I'm gonna steal it. If not, what's the source. Either way it's a cool quote.

If it's by someone else I'm too senile to remember, I sure think
it's mine (in fact, I thought I just made that up then). And I fixed
the typo :}
Cheers,
Tink

FWIW, I'm like that for the opposite reason. I used to teach senior citizens a Basic Computer Skills class at a junior college. In order for the class to be a success, they had to want to come back. Telling people twice my age that they were doing stupid things wasn't a great strategy. (Anyway, they learned really quickly to take my advice.)
But enough on that... didn't mean to sidetrack the thread.

OK, guys.
Looks like this person actually wants to hack the system.
This thread was posted earlier by this poster.
Up to you if you want to help him screw the system he's hacking.
As far as I know, this ain't a hacking forum...

Well, it looks more like a terribly lost sys admin than a hacker to me.
If you just hacked into a system the last thing you'd like would be to have anybody notice it (unless you hacked as a protest), and disabling the root account is definitely going to make people notice something weird has happened, and it wouldn't be hard to reboot the system with a forensisc LiveCD and check the access times of files, check the logs, restore the root account and have the guy into jail.
If he's trying to crack something, he's following a really wrong path.

So much for civility.
Something definitely doesn't add up. The good news is that he does appear to be totally clueless.

Oops, Indeed, the other post looks too suspicious. He looks more like a terribly lost hacker than a sys admin now.
I don't know why he's asking in this forum, tho'. There are several other places for script kiddies, with scripts and everything
