disabling pcmcia probing at boot in slackware?

Can someone tell me how to disable pcmcia probing during boot in Slack >= v.13? I have an Asus eeepc 1000HA with no need for pcmcia support.

It should do to simply make the file /etc/rc.d/rc.pcmcia non-executable. You can do this like so (as root):

Code:
bash# chmod a-x /etc/rc.d/rc.pcmcia
PS - if this alone does not solve the problem, please let us know.
