Disable penguin picture on linux console ?

Hi,

How do I do that ?
(somehow commands like "more" behave wrong when there is a picture on screen)
I still want to use framebuffer because font looks better that way(vga=normal shows no image of course)

thanks
Vilius

Recompile the kernel and don't add the Logo (or something similar) in the kernel configuration menu.

I've seen that effect too. Usually an alt-F2 followed by alt-F1 seems to reset the screen back to proper sizes.

If you want to get rid of it permanently, then I believe you can get rid of it by adding logo.nologo to your kernel parameters.

Just add it to the append= line in lilo.conf and then run /sbin/lilo.

Or simply issue "reset". Only needs to be done once.
