Directory /var/lock/subsys needs to be created in Current EDIT: No it doesn't

I just installed updates on Slackware-Current and noticed an error message when booting:
Code:
touch: cannot touch `/var/lock/subsys/messagebus': No such file or directory
Fixed it with 'mkdir /var/lock/subsys'

That lockfile creation will be removed in the next update - should be out about now. It is a piece of Redhat-ism and should not have been there in the first place.

tightvnc

Same for 13.0 / tightvnc-1.3.10-i486-1. Wants to lock under 'subsys'. Needs an rc and/or source fix, apparently:

rc.vncservers:

Code:
Line:24
   [ "$RETVAL" -eq 0 ] && touch /var/lock/subsys/vncserver
Line:37
    [ "$RETVAL" -eq 0 ] && rm -f /var/lock/subsys/vncserver
Line:62
        if [ -f /var/lock/subsys/vncserver ]; then
