different windows manager on separate display ?
I've tried to start bare bones X / mwm / twm on separate displays whilst running fluxbox on display 0. No such luck. Is this possible considering when fluxbox is running on a separte display it is using the .xinitrc file ?
I can start mwm /twm when flux is not running by creating a .xinitrc file containing the line " exec twm ( or mwm) " and then executing startx.
Checked the man pages. They say
twm -display "dspy"
which does not work as I get unable to open display errors.
Just want to see if you can have different managers running on different displays simultaneously on the liveCD.

Thanks I read the post on the Slax forum. Unfortunately, as it is not hard drive install, but a live CD, some of these rules will not apply. I am trying to use different managers on different displays on my "live CD." If the distro was installed on the HD then I could try Xnest or even use startx / xinnit with the specific arguments. On the live CD if you run fluxbox on one display you get an .xinitrc file created in the home directory which is linked to a .xinitrc.fluxbox file. Obviously I cannot edit the .xinitrc file to run fwm / twm while flux is still running.
