Hey Ilgar! Now I understand, I really didn't find anything at config.log but when you looked you could find exactly the problem...next time I will pay more attention on it.

I don't know if my soundcard has or not midi chip, I just can play the midis nice on Windows. My soundcard is the onboard one with my motherboard: http://www.intel.com/products/mother...5gbf/index.htm

Could you please take a look at the site and see if there is midi chip? Thanks!

I think there isn't, I'm not sure. I don't know if the midi plugin is supposed to give an error if there's no midi device. I sure have one, I modprobe the necessary modules and all, yet no sound comes out. I tried this on kmid and one or two other things, but not XMMS.

I have not KDE or Gnome installed, I don't want to...but on xine didn't recognize it too.
