So I've got slack 11 with 2.6 installed (I think I went with the huge kernel, everything seems to work just fine)

I've got an atheros based wireless card, and I've got madwifi installed, everything seems to work fine, I can scan for wireless access points and my router shows up, everything's great until try to get dhclient to work and it just won't recognize ath0, yet ath0 is recognized by madwifi.

I know I'm being really vague here, I'll try and be more specific in a minute when I look back in the readme files to remember the commands I was putting in.

Basically, I was wondering if anybody had any quick solutions for making dhclient recognize ath0, since it seems to work fine with madwifi. . .

Everyone seems to have trouble with dhclient (not just Slackware users). Try to stick to what Slackware uses, which is the "dhcpcd" program. That'll work-
