You know, it's perfectly acceptable to just not say anything if you don't have any good suggestions...
I only suggested it Robby, because he was asking about the daemon and the management of it. No harm intended or anything thereof.

For clarity the startup-script I was talking about is Slackware specific, see: https://github.com/lxc/cgmanager/tre...onfig/init/bsd. Anyway Ponce has it in his experimental tree, so it will come when it is ready I guess.

I think neon needs to be rebuilt.

I've been getting the following error lately when trying to mount using davfs2:

Code:
]SSL handshake failed: SSL disabled due to library version mismatch
A bit of Google-Fu leads me to believe this is because neon hasn't been rebuilt against the upgraded openssl.

Sure, an update would do it too.

In any case, I just tried rebuilding neon 29.6 and it solves the problem I was having.

Indeed. Now think what happens if Slackware updates to every reported release... pretty big chance of duplicate effort. It's not so important to have the latest and greatest of everything. The only thing that counts is: is it a useful upgrade, and is it a safe & sane upgrade?
Sometimes it is better to wait.

in the changelog of 1.11.0 dbus

* tools/dbus-monitor.c: take out the trailing comma in the
ProfileAttributeFlags enum as it isn't in our style guides
and causes some compilers to error out

but really, is not a big change...im not read changelog , and i understand that is a little change for compilation of dbus, and no affect functionality.

The 1.11.x branch is development leading to 1.12.0, unless their development model has changed. In other words, we won't be shipping any 1.11.x versions.

Talking about cgmanager, the version in -current could do with updating. I've been using a newer one for some time now, from: http://ponce.cc/slackware/testing/new_cgstuff/. It uses a newer git snapshot which includes a Slackware-specific rc.cgmanager boot script that doesn't exist in the -current version.

It's in my queue now but not yet merge-ready IMHO. I've opened a dialog with ponce about some apparent differences in user experience, and once those are resolved, I'll mark it as ready (from my perspective - will still need ACK from volkerdi).
