Question Dependencies, gnome, slackaware, how?


I use Gnome In Slackware (I don't install kde). There's no a gpackage like a kpackage? The problem is this:
How can I see the dependencies of a package when I try install it (in slackware and in gnome too?

Can you help me?

In simple terms - you can't.

Slack doesn't keep track of dependencies at all,
if you install something, and find that it requires
further libraries, grab your CD and look at the
packages in /cd2/slackware/gnome and
/cd1/slackware/l ...

If you don't want to spend too much time, install
all of /cd1/slackware/l

You can use swaret and slapt-get to check dependencies.

Or just use mandrake or debian ;)

Sorry, I think that those tools are ruining Slack ;)
