Dell Pocket DJ(Creative Nomad like MP3 Player) in Slackware 11

I have a Dell Pocket DJ 5 GB . Its discontinued now by Dell. Does anyone know how I can access this device through Slackware? I installed the libnjb library and KIONJB package. Then I tried "njb:/" in Konqueror but nothing appears.
I keep getting following in dmesg:

Quote:

usb 5-7: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6
usb 5-7: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb 5-7: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by usbfs while 'kio_njb' sets config #1
usb 5-7: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by usbfs while 'kio_njb' sets config #1
usb 5-7: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by usbfs while 'kio_njb' sets config #1
The Pocket DJ shows its status as docked though.

Has anyone ever used this piece or other Nomad players on Linux?

My NJB player (Creative Zen Touch 40GB) works fine with the stock Slackware 11.0 libnjb + Amarok (I've tried KIONJB but I don't find it very useful for dealing with music transfers).

how do I use Amarok to connect to the player? From where do I mount the device? Could you show me the config you have done in AMarok?

I have the same MP3 player and this was on my "to do" list so any solutions would help me as well.

Under Amarok, to add the NJB device, just go to Settings --> Configure Amarok --> Media Devices, "Add Device"; in the pop up menu select Creative NJB from the plugin list, give the device some nice name, and skip the mount bit (since it's irrelevant for NJB devices).

When you connect the device, you should then just be able to go to "Media Devices" in Amarok, select your device, (and assuming it is connected), click connect. Done :)
