Default pagesize on OpenOffice.org on Slackware...

Any non-US OpenOffice2.0(2) on Slackware users here who can tell me what your default page size is when you start a new document or base it on a template? Does it come default as Letter or A4 ?

I know it's perfectly possible to chown/open/change/save/chown back all template files to change them from Letter to A4, but I'm curious as to whether or not I'm the only one with OO defaulting to Letter rather than A4, as it defaults to A4 on Windows with the same(!) templates...

My openoffice.org is the latest english from linuxpackages.net...

Anyone?

Mine is A4 by default. I had some problems getting printer use A4 by default, but once that was sorted OO seems to use it for page default now. I think I made it default in CUPS and that sorted it.

Thanks for answering dive,

Did you download openoffice from linuxpackages or build from source?

I just changed my LANG environment variable from en_US.ISO8859-1 to en-UK.ISO8859-1 and it made a difference on the default document, but not the templates, so I guess it's hard-coded in the templates...

What's your LANG setting when you echo $LANG ?

I downloaded OO2 from OO.org as installer (I think, but I had binaries before that).

My lang is en_GB now, although it was en_US when I installed OO.

Have you tried setting A4 in cups?
