Default firewall with Slack 10?

Does Slackware 10 come with any standard firewall program? SuSE, for example, comes with SuSE personal firewall. Does Slackware have anything like this or will I have to download an app myself?

If I do have to d/l one myself any good recommendations?

Nope. I wrote mine using iptables.
If you do not want to do it yourself then you can get guarddog, it's very good.

Hope this helps.

:D

awesome

the simple answer is no. you'll have to write one yourself using iptables. google and search lq and you'll find loads of stuff. there are also tools that will help you, search source-forge.

slack is very 'hands on', lots of reading and manually editing config files etc.. as apposed to handy pretty gui's.

good luck any road.

I found guarddog to be easy to use, and it compiled without any issues.
